I Can’t Do It All
We have been working on a project for the house. We have a deadline. Do you know what happens when you have a project with a deadline? Everything else seems to go by the wayside. That is what has happened the past couple of weeks.
Since we started the project, we have hardly cooked. I have suggested to my husband that we stop eating but he didn’t think that was a very good idea. Since we have hardly cooked, I have pulled a lot of leftovers from the freezer. Now there are no more leftovers in the freezer.
I tried to keep up with my garden. I picked the green beans before they got too big but the ones we didn’t eat are still waiting to be frozen.
At this point in time, my house needs to be dusted. The rugs should be vacuumed and floors mopped. Cleaning the bathrooms would also be a good thing to do. There is laundry to be folded and more laundry to be washed.
We didn’t mow the lawn.
Are you tired yet? I am.
What about my blog post?
Normally I write my blog posts in advance. Or, if not write them, at least I have ideas in my head about what I am going to post. I didn’t get a post written for today and this morning I didn’t even have an idea in my head. Have you ever experienced that?
Do you know what happened?
Do you know what happened when so many things did not get done? Nothing.
- The world didn’t end.
- We haven’t starved.
- The garden is still growing.
- My house didn’t blow away.
- We still have clothes to wear.
- The neighbors haven’t kicked us out of the neighborhood.
- The Internet didn’t shut down.
Sometimes NOTHING is a good thing
